fun times with JibJab.com https://www.ubertor.com/blog/2007/09/30/fun-times-with-jibjabcom/ https://www.ubertor.com/blog/2007/09/30/fun-times-with-jibjabcom/#respond Sun, 30 Sep 2007 23:17:33 +0000 http://blog.ubertor.com/2007/09/30/fun-times-with-jibjabcom/ JibJab.com is a great site that allows you to add your image(s) to some of their premade videos. Not sure how this relates to real estate but I thought it was quite funny and worth a post. Maybe you could make one for your blog? or email to your fiends and clients. Here are a couple of videos. You might recognise yours truly in the first one.

Here is one the team over at MyTechOpinion did. Quite hilarious!

“All WordPressing Their Widgets in Your Facebooks!” https://www.ubertor.com/blog/2007/09/22/all-wordpressing-their-widgets-in-your-facebooks/ https://www.ubertor.com/blog/2007/09/22/all-wordpressing-their-widgets-in-your-facebooks/#respond Sun, 23 Sep 2007 01:01:39 +0000 http://blog.ubertor.com/2007/09/22/all-wordpressing-their-widgets-in-your-facebooks/ Not only is that the best title for a blog post, but this video put out be Single Pointe Realty is quite funny. From their website:

“We were sitting around tonight discussing the intense discourse going on in the real estate profession regarding technology & its marriage to the so-called normal way of doing things. Our conversation really was about how we need to remember to laugh at ourselves- all of us. Consumers love everything we do for them so long as they are our primary concern. I hope this funny Friday gets some laughs & that the future conversations we have are how the industries came together for the consumer.

without further ado: btw, if you have no funny bone or what was mentioned above is Greek to you, feel free to skip this one… ;)”

Thanks to Joel for finding this one.

Internet goes on vacation https://www.ubertor.com/blog/2007/07/24/internet-goes-on-vacation/ https://www.ubertor.com/blog/2007/07/24/internet-goes-on-vacation/#respond Tue, 24 Jul 2007 23:47:22 +0000 http://blog.ubertor.com/2007/07/24/internet-goes-on-vacation/ TechCrunch is reporting that the San Francisco area has had a major outage to some key websites on the internet. Netflix, Technorati, Craigslist, Typepad, Vox, Yelp, Alexa and LiveJournal were all down this morning, some are still down. I guess that is why there is no such thing as 100% uptime.

On the lighter side, here is a great video that Joel over at futureofrealestatemarketing.com posted. It is quite funny.

Find the celebrity in you! https://www.ubertor.com/blog/2007/04/25/find-the-celebrity-in-you/ https://www.ubertor.com/blog/2007/04/25/find-the-celebrity-in-you/#respond Thu, 26 Apr 2007 01:56:02 +0000 http://blog.ubertor.com/2007/04/25/find-the-celebrity-in-you/ Interesting website that will take an image of your face and tell you what celebrities look similar to you. In my case it seems that the closest I get is 60% similar. Want to create your own? You can do that here.

Bug Me Not – Bypass Compulsory Registration https://www.ubertor.com/blog/2007/04/04/bug-me-not-bypass-compulsory-registration/ https://www.ubertor.com/blog/2007/04/04/bug-me-not-bypass-compulsory-registration/#respond Thu, 05 Apr 2007 02:03:35 +0000 http://blog.ubertor.com/?p=510 realtor websitesIn keeping with the theme of my last post about the opening of the internet and how information is being freed all over the place – I want to direct your attention to buymenot.com

BugMeNot.com is a website that allows you to bypass compulsory registration. You can find and share logins for websites that require you to have a username and password to access the information. At this time, there top 6 most popular sites are:
www.nytimes.com
www.nypost.com
www.washingtonpost.com
www.chicagotribune.com
www.imdb.com
www.youtube.com

This is just another example of how information is being exposed on the internet. Don’t fight it, embrace it. Start blogging about your thoughts on the real estate market, give away that “report” that you have on your website without requiring clients to log in. Embrace the internet and it will do wonders for your business!

UPDATE: From Inman News – “Today’s consumer wants the information now and they want it for free – and personal contact information is now considered currency.”

All Realtors should drive BMWs https://www.ubertor.com/blog/2007/03/08/all-realtors-should-drive-bmws/ https://www.ubertor.com/blog/2007/03/08/all-realtors-should-drive-bmws/#comments Thu, 08 Mar 2007 16:37:02 +0000 http://blog.ubertor.com/?p=490 BMW and Google seem to have a new feature where you can send your Google Maps search to your BMW. Would work well for agents visiting multiple locations, save paper, plus be quite cool.

I also like how BMW and Google have released videos on YouTube to promote the feature.
