Ebay has launched a new widget feature to their system that allows you to add an auction item to any blog or real estate agent website quickly and easily. Here is a listing I found in San Francisco:

Not sure how I missed this new feature on ebay, but I’m glad I came across it in your blog.
To be honest, I’m not sure WHY an agent would want to put an auction item on their site if they have nothing to do with the property for sale. Maybe I just can’t wrap my head around it right now, but I’m not sure what benefit Ebay’s widget is to agents…seeing a bunch of auctions on someone’s page may help consumers, but how does the real estate professional benefit from this? I’m curious to see what others think about this tool.
